White Plume Mountain [D&D One Shot]
08:00 - 20:00
Within the Castle Ward of Waterdeep, where barristers, nobles, and emissaries battle with word and contract, stands an inn not quite like any other; this is the renowned tavern The Yawning Portal. After having a mug of ale (or more), you made the acquaintance of a bald, stern wizard clad in blue robes. He spoke with a strange accent about the White Plume Mountain, which has always been a subject of superstitious awe to the neighbouring villagers. People still travel many miles to gaze upon this natural wonder, though few will approach it closely, as it is reputed to be the haunt of various demons and devils. The occasional disappearance of those who stray too close to the Plume reinforces this belief. But that would not stop you, would it?
• What we'll do
White Plume Mountain is one of the most known and deadliest dungeons in the history of Dungeons & Dragons. It is a classic that has hosted an untold number of adventurers and boldly stakes a claim to its place in the pantheon of notable adventures. This one-shot is, therefore, for experienced players, though beginners are welcome if they accept not having their hands held. We will play this game over 8-10 hours over the course of a Saturday.
• Character creation
Each player should create a LvL 9 character of any sort compatible to DnD 5e official rules. Characters will be created on DNDbeyond.com prior to the session. Players are encouraged to discuss on our Discord server on a team composition and character optimisation strategy.
• What to bring
Bring your own lunch/dinner or plan to order delivery food like pizzas.
Also, snacks to share, pencils, dice, (if you don't have any, the DM has extra ones to lend).
