Yoga with Blindfold: 2.5-hour Workshop
We are challenged in day-to-day life with information overload. Our brains and memories need to digest all this information. It is very challenging to sit in meditation when there is so much to be processed. Since most of our world is available at our fingertips, we barely move, which creates a restless mind and a painful body. So our mind needs stillness and our body needs movement. Antastha Yoga provides a perfect combination of stillness and movement at the same time.
The essence of Antastha Yoga is twofold: withdrawal of senses through Pratyahara, achieved using a blindfold, and self - study through Swadhyaya.
Through carefully created series, Antastha Yoga stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), develops inner strength and flexibility, and regenerates you by activating your life-force.
The Antastha CNS Series has a particular positive effect on the nervous system and the endocrine glands. This Series is built upon two mechanisms:
• on one hand, the asanas sequence tunes the body in a way that stimulates and strengthens the nervous system at the same time.
• on the other hand, it is based on fundamental scientific methods that lead the brain to deep relaxation as the movement sequences are executed blindfolded.
Most of the brain capacity is used for seeing - and if this sense is removed, only then the brain can turn itself off and the entire “human being” is able to find deep relaxation. Additionally, it does improve the release of several different hormones, mainly melatonin. On top, the CNS series helps your spine, shoulders, back and neck to more energy and strength.
The capacity of concentration will increase and you will also achieve a more balanced hormone system. The CNS series helps the entire human being to find balance with itself and to increase its capabilities of wellbeing.
